Build without Signing VS 2013

Feb 2, 2015 at 1:38 PM
I want to rebuild the CommadLineEncoder and the corresponding DLL of ZXing.

Unfortunately the build fails in VS 2013.
It does not find the key file.

I do not want to create a key right now.
  1. How to disable the signing?
  2. Is there a need for signing the application when I am not building a store app but a Console or ASP.NET Program?
I tried this solution:
ZXing.Net.Source.0.14.0.0\Base\zxing.vs2012.sln

Best Regards

You can disable the assembly signing in the project properties.
Next version will use delayed signing.

@micjahn: Thank you it worked!

Some Remarks:
  1. There are a lot of solutions and projects in the source. A getting started about it, would be cool (explaining MD and Base Folder etc.)
  2. Another issue was that the CommadLineEncoder was not on .NET 4.5.
About Debugging:
What is the easiest way to debug the DLL under "normal" windows. I was thinking about using the CommandLineEncoder for example. But I would not like change anything in the environment, so I can take over new solutions/sources/project versions without struggle.

In most cases I use the WindowsFormDemo for tests and debugging.
On the other hand you can write your own unit tests in a separate project.

Why is it still called "Beta"?

Because I never changed it in the past. :)
