Accessing functions from external application

Hi everyone.

So I'm going to say up front that I'm not that familiar with Visual Studios, so just FYI.

I was hoping that I could take the zxing.dll and call functions from within that dll to use in my own application.

Is it possible that the function in zxing.dll aren't setup for that? If not. I'll learn what I need to in order to accomplish that.

Or are they setup for external calls, and I'm just not doing it right?

A pointer in either direction would be greatly appreciated.

What environment do you use?
The zxing.dll can be used for applications which are developed with the Microsoft .Net Framework.
Beside that you can use it via COM interop.

Or you use the command line tool with you application.

I'm using WinDev 18.

I did eventually figure out how to access the objects in zxing.dll. WinDev can expose .net assembly objects pretty easily.
It's not in a manner I'm used to though so I have some learning to do.
